STAGE 1
A potential customer accesses the company website and looks for the online quotation facility.
They fill in their details and are provided with a quotation which in this case they accept.
STAGE 2
The quotation is automatically allocated a reference number and stored in the database.
Confirmation of the quotation is automatically emailed to the customer.
STAGE 3
Company staff have their own secure area where they can view and track all quotations, orders and other activities.
STAGE 4
The company could offer online credit card payments, but in this case they chose to follow-up each quotation by calling the customer to discuss the details.
The company staff view the list of activities associated with quotations.
STAGE 5
Staff can select the appropriate quotation, confirm with the customer and raise an order.
An audit log of all activity is available and can be used to record staff notes as well.
STAGE 6
Summary reports of the number of quotations handled and the conversion rates can be shown on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
